Leonard
Hayashi serves as the Shanghai General
Manager. He brings a broad spectrum of operating,
managing and negotiating experience to our
fast-growing, strategically focused organization.
Devoting most of his time to the Shanghai office, Len
oversees all day-to-day operations, directs our
Chinese workforce and assures compliance with your
requests. A native of Los Angeles and graduate of the
University of California, San Diego, Len has lived in
Shanghai since 1997. He is fluent in Mandarin,
Japanese and English. Collectively, he and our staff
have visited hundreds of factories and negotiated
countless contracts on behalf of our clients. |
Stewart Roberts is responsible for Strategic
Direction and Relationship Management. Based in Los
Angeles, Stu cultivates client relationships
and assists companies with their outsourcing
initiatives. He has been working in China since 1998
when he lived and worked in Shanghai with GE's
Industrial Systems. Stu holds a degree
in Economics from Miami University, at Oxford and has
attended graduate programs at both Harvard University
and Harvard Business School. A contributor to his
communities, Mr. Roberts is active with Make-A-Wish
Foundation in Los Angeles, Project HOPE in Shanghai
and has served as a guest lecturer at UCLA’s
Anderson School and USC’s Marshall School of Business. |
Steve Marquardt
is a leading member of the TIX China client development
and relationship management team. As a 14-year veteran consultant,
most recently with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Marquardt has
extensive management experience working directly with key decision
makers of Fortune 500 companies to develop and implement large-scale
cost saving strategies. As part of his project leadership
responsibilities, he has traveled extensively throughout Asia
and Europe, and lived in Geneva for three years. A certified
public accountant, Mr. Marquardt holds a Bachelor of Science
in Accounting and Business Administration from John Carroll University. |
Bob
Fraser serves as a senior advisor
to TIX. He has over 30 years experience in Senior
Management positions. His work with private and public
sector clients includes sales and marketing of capital
equipment, manufactured components and technical
services. Other projects include initiating technology
licensing agreements and product exchanges with
Japanese and British companies and the formation of an
engineering service company in Israel. Bob holds a
degree in economics from California State University,
Santa Cruz. |
Peter
Frank serves as a senior advisor to TIX. He
is president of an Investment Bank, Managing Directors
Ltd., a trustee of the UCLA Foundation, former
chairman of the UCLA Chancellors Associates and former
president of the Young Presidents Organization. Over
the past 30 years, He has been president of a number
of both private and public manufacturing and service
firms, lectured, on various business subjects at the
Anderson School of Management and has served on a
number of private and public boards. Mr. Frank
graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics holds a
Master’s in Mathematics from Columbia University and a
MBA from Pepperdine University. |
Paul
Deis brings 25 years of consulting
experience to TIX. From family-owned businesses to global
titans such as IBM, Deloitte & Touche, ITT,
Hughes, and Raytheon, Paul’s experience blends a
unique combination of business management, information
systems with trouble-shooting ability. Paul’s specialty involves assisting companies in
global supply chain management, identifying cost reduction
methodologies through value analysis and Lean
principles and deciding what to outsource. An
accomplished author, Paul Deis wrote Understanding and
Generating Best Practices and Best Practices in
Production & Supply Chain Management. He holds an MBA
from California State University, Northridge, and a BA
from the University of Texas, Austin. |
Robert
Chao is an operations manager from our
Shanghai office. A
native Chinese, Robert is particularly skilled at
leading project teams, both staff in our office as
well as TIX quality assurance professionals at the
factories. Prior to joining TIX Robert worked at Shanghai Bao
Steel and Nestle Corporation in an engineering and operations management
capacity, overseeing a staff of three and five
respectively. He holds a PMP (Project Management
Professional) accreditation from the Project
Management Institute, an engineering degree from
Shanghai University of Science and Technology, and a Masters in
Business from East China University
of Science and Technology. Robert's combination of
technical expertise and management background make him
an invaluable member of our team. |
Timo
Schneemann joined TIX in 2005 and has
quickly become indispensable. He brings with him
expertise in Lean manufacturing and systematic,
rigorous process controls for managing
production, supplier selection to quality assurance.
Before TIX, TImo worked for Mercedes-Benz, covering
assignments at plants in Germany, The Netherlands, and
Thailand. His expertise encompasses manufacturing processes such as
casting, forging, stamping, tool & die making, and
glass & metal forming. He holds an Masters in
engineering degree (Dipl-Ing.) from the University of Applied Sciences,
Cologne. |
Christine
Xu serves as TIX's Controller. Christine
joined TIX after working as a tax and financial
consultant for Wells Finance Service Company in
Shanghai. She holds both a bachelors and masters
in accounting from Dongbei University of
Finance and Economics. |
Yuki
Chen is a project supervisor
at TIX. Whether it be negotiating prices or making
sure the factories adhere to our specifications, she is
particularly adept at dealing with suppliers. Yuki previously worked as a Trading
Executive at Shanghai Tungsun, monitoring Chinese
vendors exporting various goods to Europe. She holds a
degree in business administration from Shanghai
Business School. |
David
Huang works as a Project Supervisor
managing our textile and apparel business interests.
Throughout his tenure at TIX, David has
held three positions from Sourcing Executive to his
current role of supervisor where he oversees a team of
four. David holds an engineering degree from
East China University of Science and Technology. |
Elaine
Cheng joined TIX in 2005 as a sourcing executive.
She has spent the past year training in TIX best practices
with a focusing on Quality assurance within the
context of identifying and quantifying risk. She holds a degree in
logistics from the Shanghai Institute of Foreign
Trade. |
